Our First Gathering and What's Next
We're still riding the high from our first group gathering just this past week! I'm excited to share a bit about that gathering and tell you what we have planned next.
It felt incredible to bring together such a vibrant mix of people from different slices of my life. There were friends from the men's group and the ‘mystery school’ I help run, alongside my dear readers here and friends from various other communities. Our conversation about idealism was thought-provoking and deeply moving at times. I'm truly thankful for the variety of views and understandings that everyone shared.
Diving into the philosophy of idealism, we looked into the idea that consciousness isn't just part of reality—it creates it.
This ancient notion, often shadowed by the modern world's predominance towards materialism, suggests that what we experience as the physical world is actually a creation of our consciousness. Thinkers like Bernardo Kastrup and Donald Hoffman back this up with compelling arguments that mix the philosophical with the rational and scientific.
Our dialogue took us through the wisdom of indigenous cultures and ancient traditions, which embrace a profound connection with nature and see consciousness in everything. We challenged the materialist view, often dominated by Western, male-centric thought, and considered more intuitive, feminine approaches to knowledge. This shift radically changes how we understand supernatural phenomena and our senses—seeing them as natural extensions of our collective consciousness.
We also talked about the Earth as a living, conscious entity, evolving alongside us. Understanding this deepens our connection with the planet and each other.
Looking ahead, our next meet-up, titled "Unmask the Elusive Ego: A Journey of Self-Discovery," is set for Monday, June 3rd, at 1 PM ET. Make sure to RSVP and mark it on your calendar here.
If you're up for more discussions or want to bounce around new ideas, don't hesitate to book a chat with me—I'm eager to connect further!
Thank you! It’s always a pleasure to be surrounded by people who are not afraid to expand beyond our boundaries.
