John, thank you so much for being there throughout this journey, both as a reader and as a friend behind the scenes. Your unwavering support and encouragement has often been the wind at my back when I needed it most.
Inherent self- worth seems to have gone lost completely.. so has the respect for creation all around.
I don't think people will change unless it hurts badly enough or they get close to death somehow.
The human condition .. taking a real close look at oneself is the hardest thing to do on this plane.. me thinks!! LOL
And change is scary, most people choose to stay in misery rather than stepping into the unknown. Women in abusive relationships are a good example of that.. the devil we know..
I sometimes think that that is the reason that we have so much pain/ adversary in this world... we do not learn in our comfort zone, so the universe sends us lessons that force us to change.
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughtful perspective. I completely agree that we often overlook, or are conditioned to overlook, our inherent self-worth. We are all fundamentally worthy just by being born. It's true that for most people, transformation requires a catalyzing event, and the universe keeps sending lessons until we learn! However, some can experience growth through developing self-awareness of repeating patterns and a desire to change. Support is crucial -- while some embark on this inner journey alone, having the support of friends and community can make a significant difference. We need each other more than we often realize, especially in individualistic societies.
Thank you Alex, you truly had set me free in so many ways and in the process I’ve learned to love myself better and look at things differently. It has been a privilege to have you in our close circle.
Your comment to John shows another lesson, that we cannot usually do this alone. We need each other. For so many things.
The world has forgotten that too...
Thanks so much for sharing all of this with us. It was an honor to witness you here and “behind the scenes” throughout the process 🙏

There are exceptions of course!
