Alex, thank you for sharing your transformational journey. Loving yourself is beautiful! When we decide to change something, switches inside the brain and I think in the body because it's felt as an emotion. I bet your sweat was a testament of what was transforming and rebirthing to a new you. I walked the Manitou Incline, and although it's nothing like what you did, it was 2,768 steps. It was refreshing to reach the top with my daughter, Lauren and know I could feel my legs 😂.
Thanks for sharing your journey -- reaching the top must have felt like a physical and emotional victory! Those steps up the mountain not only challenge our bodies but also create deeper shifts within
What an inspiring story Alex, and a stunning picture of what is truly a very special place. I can't help but feel inspired by Loveleen too (what an evocative name indeed), as a woman I didn't feel safe doing this very hike on my own, her apparition carries a powerful message that there is nothing to fear on this path... Thank you for sharing 🙏💜
Absolutely, your kindness really means a lot to me! There was magic on my path, and I’m glad it inspired a sense of safety for you. I felt protected by my intentions going up the mountain, but honestly, I wouldn't recommend hiking it alone. I got lucky, but there's no need to push our luck, right?
Indeed :) Thank you for clarifying, and I agree. I meant this more as an image of "the healing path" that you describe so well in your post.
I ended up going up there by bus, and had the most epic (unplanned) drive down to Santa Teresa on the back of a motorbike of one of the staff members of the Christ (yes, you read it well) - arguably even more dangerous than the hike, but I will treasure this memory forever!
